- QUICKSTART

From first request to usage

  1. Get your account and API key

    Create an account or sign in, then open Access keys in your workspace. Keep the key server-side, never in browser code or source control.

  2. Check your balance or plan

    Open Credits & billing and check your available credits before a request. Reserved credits are not available to spend.

  3. Choose a model

    Find an exact model ID in the catalog and check its context limit and current rates, or list models with your API key.

  4. Configure the endpoint

    Set your client's base URL to https://api.routr.cloud/v1 and send your API key as a bearer token.

  5. Make your first request

    Send a chat completion with your key and a model ID from the catalog. If it fails, read the actual error before retrying.

  6. Verify in Usage

    Find the request by its time and model, then inspect the outcome, token counts, and the credits actually charged.
